Dr. Young grew up in Forest Hill, New York. He received a B.A. with honors in biology from the University of Louisville, where he completed his degree in 3 years. Dr. Young received his DDS, Doctor of Dental Surgery, from Temple University of Dentistry where he was first in his class to complete clinical requirements, graduating six months early in January 1980.
Upon graduation Dr. Young chose to join the US Army Dental Corps for 2 years, where he completed advanced residency training at Walter Reed Army Hospital in Oral Surgery and Fixed and Removable Prosthodontics (dentures, crown and bridge work). For over 25 years he has been a member of the American Dental Association, as well as the PA Dental Association, and the Academy of Dentists for Persons with Disabilities.
Dr. Young has given back to his community by performing dentistry on Mondays for 17 years at Elwyn Institute for Handicapped Individuals and serving on the Alumni Board at Temple University School of Dentistry. Currently, Dr. Young volunteers at Community Volunteers in Medicine located in West Goshen, PA where performs all phases of clinical dentistry on alternate Mondays in the winter months.
Dr. Young is an avid squash and racquetball player and is very proud of his three children, one actor and two lawyers; and has been in love with his wife for 34 years.
Dr. Bruce Godick Bio
Quality Comprehensive dentistry in Delaware Country has been associated with the Godick name for over 65 years. Dr. Bruce Godick is a lifelong resident and graduated The Episcopal Academy in 1971 Cum Laude and received his B.S. degree in Biology from Trinity College (Hartford,CT) in 1975. Dr. Godick then received his dental degree from the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine in 1979 as well as his advanced endodontic certificate in 1983. From 1979-83, Dr. Godick taught in both the restorative and endodontic clinics at Penn and co-authored published research on the “Clinical Suitability of a Sonic Vibratory Instrument”. He maintains membership in the American Association of Endodontics, The American Dental Association, The Pennsylvania Dental Association, The Chester/Delaware County Dental Association, and The Grossman Endodontic Study Club. In addition, Dr. Godick has completed extensive additional training in Prosthodontics, including implant and cosmetic dentistry. When he is not treating patients, Dr. Godick can often be found in local community theatres where he has performed in numerous Broadway shows, on the golf course, or out in Barnegat Bay fishing and water-skiing with his wife Judy of 30 years and children Rebecca and Ross.
Finally, Dr Godick finds time to give back to his community having served for over 25 years as both board member and Past President of the Federation of Jewish Agencies in Delaware County and Philadelphia as well as Ohev Sholom Synagogue in Wallingford.
