Meet Dentist Dr. Young
Dr. Young grew up in Forest Hill, New York. He received a BA with honors in biology from the University of Louisville, where he completed his degree in 3 years.
Dr. Young received his DDS, Doctor of Dental Surgery, from Temple University School of Dentistry, where he was first in his class to complete clinical requirements, graduating six months early in January 1980.
Upon graduation Dr. Young chose to join the US Army Dental Corps for 2 years, where he completed advanced residency training at Walter Reed Army Hospital in Oral Surgery and Fixed and Removable Prosthodontics (dentures, dental crown and bridge work).
For over 25 years he has been a member of the American Dental Association, as well as the PA Dental Association, and the Academy of Dentists for Persons with Disabilities.
Dr. Young has given back to his community by performing dentistry on Mondays for 17 years at Elwyn Institute for Handicapped Individuals and serving on the Alumni Board at Temple University School of Dentistry. Currently, Dr. Young volunteers at Community Volunteers in Medicine, located in West Goshen, PA, where performs all phases of clinical dentistry on alternate Mondays in the winter months.
